RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule with weekend and holiday requirements that float per facility guidelines
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed health care team members to ensure quality patient care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, nursing interventions, and patient responses in a legible and timely manner in accordance with policy
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support education, role development, and orientation of staff, patients, and families
• Precept and mentor staff to promote professional growth when appropriate
• Actively participate in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
