PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Holiday rotation required
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Float required within the facility as needed, agency staff floats first
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• 12-bed unit
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Royal blue
• Free parking available
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Required skills include but are not limited to: cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, telemetry, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, isolation precautions and PPE, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, wound care and wound vac, and use of rapid response and code teams
