ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hours per week in a critical care setting
• Float to SICU and other critical care units as needed
• Work in a 10-bed Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU), the only Neuro Critical Care Unit in Northern New England
• Care for patients including Primary Stroke Center cases (Ischemic - Thrombectomy, TPA, Hemorrhagic, Ventriculostomies & Emergent Evacuation), Neuro Surgery (tumor resections, brain/spine abscesses), and Neuro-Medical conditions (Meningitis, Encephalitis, Neuromuscular disorders)
• Float to 18-bed SICU caring for surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis patients
• Must have advanced hemodynamic monitoring experience
• Must be proficient with ICP monitoring in both SICU and NCCU settings
• Must have experience managing ventilated patients
• Must be proficient with pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications
• Must be able to assist with line insertion and maintenance
• Must have experience managing lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients including Ventriculostomies, Lumbar Drains, Bolts, and EVD
• Must be proficient with PA lines and waveform interpretation
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
