Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• 10-hour mid-shift with on-call requirements
• Cardiac CST position requiring specialized cardiovascular operating room experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA
• Must be willing to participate in training alongside students and new staff at a teaching facility
• Required skills include but are not limited to: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), CVOR, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), TEVAR, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, and Atricure (Maze)
• Must demonstrate proficiency in aseptic technique, instrument processing, sterilization/disinfection, and specimen handling/labeling
• Experience with a wide range of surgical procedures including general, cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, and thoracic cases required
• Familiarity with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, drills, and cell saver equipment expected
• Knowledge of laser safety, radiation safety, sharps safety, and isolation precautions/PPE required
• 40 orientation hours required
