Respiratory Therapist Job in Biddeford, ME

Maine Medical Center - Biddeford is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel position. You will work 3x12-hour nights with 36 guaranteed weekly hours and no on-call requirements.

Role Overview

You will float across all hospital areas, providing respiratory care to patients from newborns through adults. Your responsibilities include managing mechanical ventilation, assisting with high-risk cesarean sections, and serving as part of the resuscitation team. You will work in ICU, Emergency Room (including pediatric intubation cases), Level 1 Nursery, and Med-Surg floors.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with greater than 2 years of experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
• Demonstrated experience in ICU and ER settings
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and high-flow oxygen delivery
• EPIC documentation system experience

Equipment Experience

You must be proficient with Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilators, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, NeoP puff, and RAM cannula.

Preferred Qualifications

NICU and PICU experience is preferred to demonstrate comfort treating newborns and critically ill pediatric patients.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,367. Scrubs of any color are acceptable.
