Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Minimum 24 months of experience in Med Surg or Med Surg Tele required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Care for all types of med surg patients including overflow of post-operative surgical hips and knees
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 on a 24-bed unit
• Administer heparin drips
• Remote tele tech unit monitoring
• Float across all campuses as needed
• Every third weekend required, holidays if scheduled
• No on-call responsibilities
• Navy blue solid scrubs required
• No blocked shifts permitted
• Department prefers candidates willing to extend beyond initial 13-week contract
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Iowa nursing license required - must reflect Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate status
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg or Med Surg Tele discipline required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
