Med Surg RN Job in Calais, ME

You will work as a Med Surg RN on the night shift at Calais Community Hospital. This 91-day travel assignment runs 3x12 hour nights, beginning September 4, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,273.22.

Your Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate members of the patient care team with a focus on individualized quality patient care
• Develop patient care plans in partnership with physicians, other care team members, patients, and patients' families
• Demonstrate professional nursing practice skills utilizing the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for all assigned patients
• Provide age-appropriate care across patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Promote teamwork with medical staff and personnel throughout the facility
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current BLS (BCLS) certification
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
• Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to function independently
