RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4x10-hour day shifts with start times varying between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM
• Shifts may extend beyond scheduled hours until cases are completed
• Unit is not open on weekends; however, call rotation is required for inpatient, urgent, and emergent cases
• Weekend call runs from Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change based on unit needs
• Facility operates as a STEMI Center with 5 cath lab suites covering coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and electrophysiology cases
• Case volume varies from 10 to 22 cases per day
• Must have current cath lab experience; travelers will not be cross-trained
• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management
• Must be proficient with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressins, as well as balloon pumps
• Scrubbing is not required; RN is responsible for conscious sedation
• EMR system: Merge for cath lab documentation and Cerner for hospital charting
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• No floating required
• BSN not required
• Current California RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (must be through AHA)
