Med Surg RN Job in Mason City, IA

You will work as an RN on the Medical Surgical Orthopedic unit at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three shifts per week
• Every third weekend required
• Every other holiday schedule required
• $2,213.64 weekly

Role Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care on a medical surgical orthopedic unit. Your responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout your shifts.

The Med Surg Orthopedic unit serves patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and those managing orthopedic conditions. You will work within a structured healthcare setting that supports nursing excellence and patient-centered care.

What You Bring

You hold a current RN license and are ready to deliver high-quality care in a night-shift environment. Experience in medical surgical or orthopedic nursing is valued. You are comfortable with the every-third-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling pattern.
