RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 13-week contract
• 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Floating required in rotation with staff and in accordance with facility floating policies
• Expect to work some holidays on a rotating team schedule
• 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Charting system experience required; Meditech charting system
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Daily census of 24 patients; unit has 19 rooms and 36 beds
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, CVA care, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, PICC line management, wound care, PCA, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, isolation precautions/PPE, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and unit secretary
