Oncology RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is hiring an RN for a 13-week contract assignment in Oncology, specifically supporting bone marrow transplant care. You will work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on a 3x12 schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Your weekly pay is $2,238. The assignment begins October 1, 2026.

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy to oncology patients
• Perform CHG baths, including care of central lines and dressings
• Access central lines and mediports for lab draws and treatments
• Monitor and manage patients receiving specialized cancer care
• Float to other units per facility floating policy

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience
• Oncology and cancer care experience required
• Demonstrated experience with mediports, PICCs, and central lines
• Current BLS certification
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required

Facility Details:

Methodist Hospital uses the Meditech documentation system. Weekend availability and call requirements will be discussed during your interview. All travelers are expected to comply with facility floating policies.

Dress Code and Appearance Standards:

• Navy scrubs required for RNs
• Clean and healthy nails
• Hair neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
• Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be neatly trimmed
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
