PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Manager will accept 3x12 or 4x12 shift schedules
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry competency required
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Parking at no cost
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological conditions
• Special equipment experience required includes: BiPAP, Cardizem drip, Amiodarone drip, Cardene drip, and Nitro drip (not for chest pain)
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Block schedule may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission; no additional PTO will be approved after accepting the assignment
• Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• After 2 call outs without a documented medical reason per contract, contract may be considered for cancellation
• Attendance at staff meetings is required
• A virtual interview is required; the Nursing Director will contact the candidate within 24-48 hours of receiving the profile to schedule
