Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts with every weekend requirement
• Primary placement in Labor & Delivery (L&D) with experience in this area required
• Home unit will be NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics and will be assigned upon arrival at the facility based on facility need
• Float required between NICU and Pediatric Acute Care areas
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; level 1 adult facility experience may be considered
• NICU or PICU experience required
• Preferred charting system experience: Cerner
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and pediatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP, Indiana State License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• PALS preferred
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Required skills include: aerosol set up (mask and trach), CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, extubation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), tracheostomy care and management, weaning from mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide (iNO), nasal and oral airway placement, nasal airway suctioning, metered dose inhaler (MDI), and various inhaled medication administrations including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Xopenex, Tobramycin, and others
