Job Details:

• Rotating shifts required
• Weekend coverage required
• Self-scheduling
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 12-bed unit specializing in orthopedic, neurosurgery, general surgery, and urology patients
• Non-monitored unit
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA only)
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care and management, heparin, insulin, isolation precautions/PPE, PCA, PICC line management, pre/post neurosurgery care, telemetry, total joint replacement, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
