OR RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as a registered nurse in the operating room at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a Level I Trauma facility in Nashville. This is a 182-day travel assignment with a start date of October 5, 2026.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Saturday and Sunday shifts included; weekday schedule varies based on unit needs
• Block schedule is not guaranteed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Four late stays per 13-week contract, occasionally extending beyond shift end until handoff or room closure

Clinical Environment

You will practice in a 17-bed OR with inpatient and outpatient capacity, plus 5 procedural rooms. The facility handles all major case types: neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, and hybrid rooms including cysto, bronch, and lead extraction. You will also support ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary cases. Patient population is adult only with diagnoses including open heart, transplant, and trauma/neuro.

Your Role

You may float between OR rooms within the facility but will not rotate to other locations. Experience in general surgeries is preferred. Minimum 2 years of OR experience and prior travel experience in a similar Level I Trauma facility are required.

Time Off and Holiday Policy

Time off is limited to 5–7 days maximum during the contract. You are expected to work 2 of 3 holidays.

Compensation and Requirements

Weekly pay is $2,472. Current BLS certification is required.
