Med Surg RN Job in Garrison, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Garrison Hospital is seeking an RN for a Med Surg position. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on an ED/Med Surg Swing unit with 22 beds.

Assignment Details

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 17, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,348
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• First to float within the unit; may float to the Emergency Department
• May be required to assume charge nurse responsibilities
• Flex time available for call or standby requirements
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Patient Care & Responsibilities

• Patient ratios: 1:4 acute, 1:6 swing bed, 1:4 ED
• Titrate drips including common titratable and set rate drips
• Read telemetry strips
• Operate equipment: nebulizers, O2 nasal and mask, ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP
• Use MatrixCare/Matrix charting system

Requirements

• RN credential
• Minimum one year Med Surg and ED experience
• Charge nurse experience required
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC certifications

Any color scrubs are accepted. This role offers hands-on nursing in a supportive acute care environment with the opportunity to develop leadership skills through charge nurse responsibilities.
