PCU RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

You will work as an RN on a 30-bed Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building at Parkridge Medical Center. This is a 3x12 night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for 91 days, starting September 28, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,102.40.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for patients with a ratio of 5–6:1
• Administer medications using WOW with med drawers and Pyxis ES dispensing
• Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, and perform ad lib EKGs
• Document telemetry application and acknowledge rhythm strips each shift
• Perform bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5Ps checks
• Report known patient needs to PCTs at the beginning and during shifts
• Follow NO PASS ZONE policy for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips

Unit Environment

• Unit staffing includes unit clerk on days, 2–3 PCTs on day and night shifts, nursing supervisor, and hospitalists
• Equipment: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry, and MP2s
• Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version
• Scheduling requires the equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
• Floating policy includes general M/S, Ortho, PCU, and M/S surgical with oncology areas on a rotating basis unless skill mix is needed

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Cardiac knowledge preferred
• Navy scrubs required for RNs; no artificial, gel nails, or gel nail polish permitted
