PCU Progressive Care Unit RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking an RN for its Progressive Care Unit. You'll work the night shift on a 3x12 schedule, caring for observation-level patients in an acute care setting.

Your Role

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for your assigned patients. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data to inform care decisions
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in medical records
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development

Requirements

• Current RN license and BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Must have worked in an acute care setting within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred

Physical Demands

This role requires lifting up to 75 pounds and standing or walking frequently throughout your shifts.

Compensation and Duration

You'll earn $2,582.10 weekly. This is an 89-day assignment beginning February 1, 2027. The position offers varied work schedules with flexible scheduling options.
