PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 89-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at BUMC South Tucson. You'll work nights on a 3x12 schedule earning $2,570 weekly.

About the Role

You'll provide direct patient care in a mixed surgical and medical-surgical PCU environment. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs and discharge planning requirements
• Reviewing patient history and diagnostics with patients and families, ensuring timely completion
• Analyzing laboratory and diagnostic data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulating and implementing individualized care plans with discharge planning tailored to specific patient needs
• Coordinating care, delegating tasks, and supervising health care team activities
• Evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting plans as needed
• Documenting assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records accurately and timely
• Participating in unit and facility shared leadership initiatives
• Contributing to education and orientation of facility personnel
• Actively participating in improvements to national nursing quality indicators and outcomes

You may float to other units on campus, including three additional units, an overflow unit, and the obstetrics unit.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months as an RN in the PCU specialty
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• BLS certification current and valid
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
