Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 6-month travel assignment on the Telemetry unit. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week on nights, with every other weekend and every other holiday off.

About the Role

You will provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients who require telemetry monitoring. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alarms
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Assess patient conditions and document care provided in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain competency in telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing practices

Assignment Details

This is a 181-day travel assignment beginning October 18, 2026. You will work nights on a 3x12 schedule, earning $2,021 per week. The position is based at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

You must hold a current RN license valid in Iowa. Experience with telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing is expected. A working knowledge of cardiac rhythms and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs are essential.
