ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies in a 24/7 Emergency Department
• Rapidly assess patient needs, prioritize care, and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS personnel, and inpatient teams
• Manage multiple patient needs simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing clinical situations
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately while adhering to hospital policies and evidence-based emergency nursing practices
• Minimum three years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Current Vermont RN License or Compact Multi-State RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS
• TNCC preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech strongly preferred; must demonstrate ability to learn the system quickly
• Must be able to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment in a rural emergency department environment
• Travelers will start on Wednesdays
• Travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours during the week of orientation due to midweek start
• Reliable personal transportation is required as public transportation and rideshare services are not available in the area
