Opportunity:

RN - Geriatrics

Job Details:

• Choice of 36 or 48 hour contract available
• Every other weekend required
• Must work every other holiday including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Provide care in the High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) which includes Vent/Pulmonary Care and Acute Rehab
• Care for adult and geriatric patients 18 years of age or older
• Monitor and treat patients with cardiac conditions, acute brain injuries, respiratory needs, and complex medical conditions
• Deliver 24/7 respiratory care, diagnostics, medical treatment, and rehabilitation services
• Support patients transitioning from acute care settings requiring extended stays and multidisciplinary treatment
• Float within hospital within scope as needed
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required
• Key skills required include ventilator management, tracheostomy care, central line care, complex wound care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, continuous IV sedation, chest tubes, PICC line management, and tube feedings
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
