Med Surg RN Job in West Des Moines, IA

You'll work as an RN in the Med Surg unit at MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center, providing direct patient care and supporting the clinical team across a 181-day assignment.

Your Role

As an RN, you will deliver compassionate care to Med Surg patients, manage clinical assessments, administer medications and treatments, coordinate with interdisciplinary team members, and ensure accurate documentation. You'll be expected to maintain clinical competency, respond to patient needs, and contribute to a safe, collaborative unit environment.

Schedule Expectations

You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week. The every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday schedule is a core requirement of this role, so you should be prepared for that commitment throughout your assignment.

What You Bring

Current RN licensure in Iowa is required. You should have Med Surg experience or be comfortable working in a Med Surg setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the facility's workflows and culture.
