Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in a 30-bed Med Surg unit focused on post-op and spine patient populations
• Day shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 and night shift ratio of 1:6
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float across all campuses as required
• Administer heparin drips as part of patient care
• Navy blue solid scrubs required
• 24 months of med surg or medical surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Strong heparin experience required
• Post-operative and surgical experience required
• Spine care experience required
• Minimum 3 months of current travel experience within the previous 12 months required (no first-time travelers)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Must be willing to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
