Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work with pulmonary and med surg patient population
• Unit bed size of 23 with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Administer Heparin drips
• Float across all campuses as required
• Every other weekend or every third weekend depending on staffing and census
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24 months of Med Surg experience required
• Pulmonary patient care experience required
• Experience caring for pulmonary and ventilated patients on bi-pap and trach care highly preferred
• Recent and current charge experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience highly preferred
• First-time travelers accepted if 2+ year Med Surg experience requirement is met
• Work history and resume must reflect 24 months of current Med Surg experience
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg discipline required
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
• Professional reference from charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months preferred
• Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Driver's license required
• EMR system: EPIC
