Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float across all campuses as required
• Unit bed size of 30 with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Care for patient types including hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
• Experience with drips including PCA and Heparin required
• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Post-operative surgical experience highly preferred
• Patient care experience in hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries highly preferred
• PCA and Heparin experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Iowa nursing license required - must show Active Iowa or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Unit has an emotional support canine on site
