Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 days per week
• Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
• Weekend coverage required including Saturdays
• Floating to other units required based on census needs - must have MS/Tele skill set and competencies
• No on-call required
• Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights
• 36-bed unit with a daily census of 20 patients
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues
• Must pass an EKG exam prior to assignment
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers will be reviewed by experience
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC license
• Must have MS/Tele competencies
• Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care/management, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Block scheduling type
• Up to one pre-approved time off request per contract
• 24 orientation hours provided
