CVICU RN Job in Prescott, AZ

You will work as a registered nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) at Yavapai Regional Medical Center - West in Prescott, Arizona. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 24, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,332.80.

Schedule and Expectations

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week on a day schedule
• Required to work two weekend shifts per pay period; weekend assignments may include Friday or Saturday nights based on unit needs
• Holiday shifts required
• On-call/standby requirement per contract, with a maximum of three assignments per 12 weeks
• Floating to ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry on both campuses as needed based on department skill requirements

Clinical Setting and Responsibilities

• Acute care environment in a 12-bed CVICU
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity
• Titrate vasoactive infusions including dexmedetomidine, propofol, dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, levophed, insulin, and nicardipine
• Manage intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• Experience with fresh open heart surgery patients from the operating room
• Operate respiratory equipment including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Monitor patients using in-room Nihon Kohden monitors; you will read and interpret cardiac strips
• Care for patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), coronary artery disease (CAD), and peripheral vascular disease (PVD)
• Impella experience is desired

Requirements

• More than 2 years of CVICU experience
• Must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to signing the contract
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
