PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks
• Cardiac Step Down unit assignment
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Float required to other like units
• No on-call responsibilities
• Self-scheduling unit
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in unit required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• LVAD and Heart Failure experience preferred
• Experience with IV infusions preferred (Lasix, Bumex, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Heparin, Amiodarone)
• Travel RNs will not be assigned LVAD patients
• Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
• Unit supports a daily census of 20 patients across 20 rooms
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
