Job Details:

• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Texas or compact state license required
• Accurately assess, differentially diagnose, and identify deficits in a patient's ability to move and perform functional activities in daily life
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patient-centered goals to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
• Perform patient evaluations through obtaining history, relevant systems review, and administering specific tests and measures
• Establish individualized plans of care and select treatment techniques that address specific impairments identified in evaluations
• Conduct ongoing reassessment of patients and their response to treatment
• Initiate and manage discharge planning beginning at the first visit and continuing throughout treatment
• Supervise and delegate to ancillary staff and students consistent with state laws and department policy
• Complete accurate and clear documentation within established timeframes in accordance with accreditation requirements and insurance regulations
• Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members to promote maximum benefit of care
• Assess and provide education to meet the needs of patients, families, and caregivers
• Participate in professional growth and development through educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops
• Actively participate in quality improvement activities
• Function within scope of practice as defined by the state's practice act
