Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Portland, IN

IU Health Jay Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for outpatient rehabilitation services in Portland, IN. This is a 91-day travel position starting October 19, 2026, offering $2,351 weekly pay.

Schedule & Hours

• 5x8 shifts, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours guaranteed per workweek
• You must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Free parking provided

Your Role

You will treat patients across all age groups—adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—managing up to 12 patient visits per day with a typical patient ratio of 8 per day. Your clinical responsibilities include orthopedics, neurology, gait and balance disorders, pain management, workers compensation cases, and surgical rehabilitation (pre- and post-operative).

Clinical Duties

• Soft tissue mobilization and instrument-guided soft tissue mobilization
• Therapeutic exercise and therapeutic activities
• Gait training and neuromotor re-education
• Manual therapy techniques
• Charting in Cerner (preferred experience)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
• BLS certification required
• Willingness to float within IU Health Jay Hospital and nearby affiliate facilities
