Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Floating to other units is expected at times
• Required certification: BLS, CPI
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Local candidates within 50 miles of facility are not accepted
• RTO policy: If one holiday falls in the assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two. Any RTO must be included in submission covers and assignment confirmation documents
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Skills required include: blood product administration, central line blood draw, feeding tube care and management, heparin, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), insulin, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry - remote monitoring, tracheostomy care/management, and wound care
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, transportation, and unit secretary
