OR RN Job in Miami, FL

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is seeking an RN for the Operating Room on a travel assignment in Miami, FL. This is a backfill opportunity running 91 days, beginning June 8, 2026.

Role and Schedule

• Work a 4-day schedule with rotating weekends (11:00 AM – 9:00 PM shifts)
• Serve as both scrub nurse and circulator across all service lines
• On-call requirements: 4 calls per 4-week period, including 2 weeknight calls (7 PM–7 AM), 2 weekend 24-hour calls, and 1 holiday 24-hour call if applicable
• Patient ratio of 3:1

Experience and Certifications Required

• Minimum 2 years current experience in an acute OR setting
• Ortho, spine, and joint replacement experience required, specifically knee and hip replacement
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Preferred: PALS, CNOR, and charge experience

Procedures and Equipment

• Work with typical procedures including joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery
• Equipment includes x-rays, preoperative equipment, anesthesia equipment, lab equipment, and EKG
• EMR system: Meditech

Expectations

• Observe, assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, passion for patient care, multitasking abilities, and excellent bedside manner
• Dress code: Navy blue or royal blue scrubs required (no surgical-type scrubs)

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,336
