PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with a scheduling requirement of 36 hours per week
• Night shifts available with option to schedule 3 in a row
• Staff self-schedule with flexibility for preferred shift arrangements
• Patient ratio is 1:4 ideally, currently running 1:5
• Unit contains 29 beds with Unit Coordinators and Patient Care Technicians available
• Required to work with Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn VS machines, bladder scanner, and vein finder
• Documentation completed using Meditech system
• Float to other areas based on individual competencies as needed
• Must be familiar with cardiac drips and insulin drips
• Vital signs required every 4 hours with more frequent monitoring based on patient condition
• Blood glucose checks performed as ordered
• Required documentation and assessment every shift
• Must provide safe, high quality, and compassionate patient care
• Required certification: ACLS
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs, no artificial or gel nails permitted
• Must work well with others in a collaborative team environment
