Opportunity:

RN - CICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
• Float to all areas of the facility as needed
• Work in a 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
• RN-only unit with no HUC or PCT support
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Required scrub colors: All Navy or Navy and White (no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs)
• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Must have experience with ventilators and tracheostomies
• Must be proficient in telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Must have experience with PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Must be comfortable with transvenous pacing, cardioversion, and TEE
• Must be familiar with chest tube insertions and maintenance
• Advanced skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are desirable
• Procedures performed on unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Work with equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment
• ICU experience required
• No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications are appreciated
