Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6; beds are capped to ensure RNs do not exceed 6 patients
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Must be willing to float to all campuses as needed for patient care
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics, primarily medical-surgical with remote telemetry capabilities
• Unit specializes in general surgical patients, pre-op and post-op care, and medical overflow excluding true cardiac patients
• CNA support and unit secretary available on unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Required skills include blood product administration, central line blood draw, heparin management, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, BiPAP/CPAP management, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
