About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Road in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 89-day travel assignment with a start date of July 27, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, earning $2,582.10 weekly.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care and clinical leadership on the PCU. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
  • Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers
  • Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including discharge planning
  • Delegate and supervise activities of other licensed nurses and healthcare personnel
  • Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and legible manner
  • Participate in shared leadership, staff education, precepting, and mentoring activities

You will work a varied schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and float assignments per department guidelines.

Requirements: You must hold a current, valid RN license in Arizona and current BLS certification. You need a minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience, with experience in the progressive care specialty within the past 12 months. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and meet the physical demands of a direct patient care environment. A Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.
