X-Ray Technician Job in Waterloo, IA

UnityPoint - Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA is seeking an X-Ray Technician for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM on a 4x10 schedule with every other weekend required. There are no on-call responsibilities, and billable overtime applies for hours between 36–40 per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing 100–120 scans per day across outpatient, inpatient, emergency department, and surgical settings
• Operating Siemens equipment in the X-ray room and with portable units
• Operating GE C-arm equipment in the surgery setting
• Transporting outpatients and emergency department patients as needed

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 24 months of X-ray experience in a hospital setting
• Valid Iowa Radiology license (must be obtained during onboarding if not currently active)
• Current BLS and ARRT certifications
• Valid driver's license
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings
• Siemens equipment experience required

Preferred qualifications:

• EPIC EMR experience
• Operating room experience including occasional cysto or laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures
• GE C-arm equipment experience in the surgery setting
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the last 24 months

You must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. Weekly pay is $2,563.20. This assignment begins September 8, 2026.
