ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Provide direct care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Address physical, psycho-social, safety, rehabilitative, and learning needs of patients and their families
• Manage care of assigned patients and direct the activities of ancillary staff
• Work in collaboration with nursing peers, co-workers, attending physicians, and allied support services
• Care for all patients who present to the Emergency Department including traumas, strokes, STEMIs, and basic medical emergencies
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Float sometimes required to ICU
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Valid California state nursing license required
• Key skills include triage, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and care of ventilated patients
• Must be comfortable treating patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
