Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in McCandless, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Passavant in McCandless, PA. This is a high-acuity imaging role supporting advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Schedule & Compensation

• 4 ten-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 24/7 call coverage required: 18 call shifts per 8-week schedule (1–2 days per week, 2–3 weekends)
• Weeknight call: 5:30 PM through 7:00 AM
• Weekend call: Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $3,504
• Start date: October 19, 2026

Role Responsibilities

• Independently perform imaging procedures and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes
• Assist physicians with scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization cases
• Operate GE fluoroscopy table and use Imagecast to input charges
• Demonstrate proper positioning and appropriate radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures
• Administer contrast in accordance with assigned protocols under proceduralist direction
• Support aseptic technique and patient safety protocols including time-out process
• Support other departments performing general radiographic procedures as needed
• Document patient history in electronic records and ensure proper coding and tracking of all exams

Facility Details

This high-acuity lab performs right and left heart catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), complex PCIs, mechanical support procedures, STEMI center services, and structural heart procedures. OR scrubs are provided by the hospital. Free parking is available near campus with shuttle service (0.5 miles from hospital).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience; at least 1 year of cath lab experience preferred; IR experience also considered
• Graduate of ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology
• Required certifications: ARRT Certificate or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), BLS, ACLS, PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
