Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM on a 4x10 schedule with variable days
• No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements
• 13-week assignment
• No time off (RTO) permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 8 days of RTO allowed for the duration of the 13-week contract
• RTO not submitted at time of submission may not be approved
• Perform scrub, circulate, and stimulation roles within the Electrophysiology Lab
• May float to Cath Lab if EP Lab is closed and a scrub technologist is needed
• Document using Epic electronic health records system
• Provide intraprocedural patient care for adult and geriatric patients ages 18 and older
• Pediatric experience not required
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Case volume is approximately 5 cases daily, 25 weekly, and 90 monthly
• Must have experience with scrub and stim and record equipment
• Respiratory services and anesthesia available 24/7; ventilator management handled by anesthesia or respiratory
• 2 years of total clinical experience required
• 2 years of electrophysiology specialty experience required
• Prior travel experience required with a minimum of 1 completed travel assignment
• Required certifications: RCES or RCIS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Must complete EP computer-based competencies prior to or during 2-day orientation
• Charge or team lead experience not required
• Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs, closed-toe non-permeable shoes, hair and beard must be groomed and covered during sterile procedures, nail polish not allowed
• 50-mile radius rule applies
