CVOR RN Job in Florence, SC

McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC is seeking a dedicated RN to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team on a 90-day travel assignment beginning June 28, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide expert nursing care in a fast-paced cardiovascular operating room environment, supporting open-heart surgery and vascular procedures. Averaging 6 cases per day, you will manage both circulating and surgical support duties while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency, managing patient flow and coordinating surgical team communication
• Prepare and position patients on the operating table; prep the OR for each procedure
• Assess patient needs through history, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Complete Safe Surgery checklists and verify all protocols before surgical start
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team member activities during procedures
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice
• Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient family
• Document all care information concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner using electronic patient care delivery systems
• Assist in controlling and maintaining supplies and equipment throughout the surgical day
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment for patient and staff protection
• Demonstrate professional growth through continued education and goal-setting

Schedule & Compensation

This position operates on weekday hours with weekend call responsibilities, working five 8-hour shifts per week. You will earn $2,920 weekly. This is a 90-day assignment.

Requirements

You must hold a current RN license and possess strong computer skills for electronic documentation systems. Confidence in high-acuity cardiovascular nursing, excellent customer service standards, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic surgical environment are essential.
