CVOR RN Job in Florence, SC

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 16, 2026, offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to expand your surgical nursing expertise in a specialized cardiac and vascular environment.

Schedule and Compensation

• 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Weekday hours with weekend call as assigned
• Weekly pay: $2,931

Role Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care and surgical support in the CVOR unit, managing an average of 6 cases per day in both open heart surgery and vascular procedures. Your day-to-day duties include:

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of the operating team while executing directives in urgent or emergent situations
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice
• Complete verification of Safe Surgery checklists in accordance with service excellence standards
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff within and outside the sterile field
• Prep the operating room for patient and procedure
• Position and prepare the patient on the operating table
• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency and speed
• Serve as communication liaison between the family and operating team members
• Assist in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment

Requirements

You must be proficient in computer programs used to deliver patient care and demonstrate confidence performing in open heart surgery and vascular cases. Willingness to participate in assigned call as scheduled is required.
