Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Block scheduling type
• Staffing ratio of 1:4 for day shifts
• No floating required
• On-call required: Average 2 weekends every 6 weeks, occasionally 3 weekends; on-call days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday requirement
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
• Cardiac surgery experience required including CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR, and TNCC
• Required skills include: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Cell Saver, Code Response, CABG, CVOR, Electrosurgical Units, Femoral Cannulation, Fiber Optic Light Sources/Cords, Fire Safety, General OR, IABP, Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, Latex Allergy awareness, Malignant Hyperthermia, MAZE Procedure, Mitral Valve Replacement, PDA, Pericardial Window, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Steris, TAVR, Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure, and Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• PA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate experience
