ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 10-bed ICU unit on the 5th floor
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 4 RNs
• Every other weekend required; no on-call required
• Must demonstrate proficiency with care of ventilated patients
• Must demonstrate proficiency with titration of sedation, analgesia, and vasoactive cardiac medications
• Medical ICU experience preferred
• Rapid response/code blue team experience preferred
• Assist with RSI and arterial or central line placement
• Perform slow/continuous dialysis via TABLO (SLED)
• Float to IMCU, NSICU, and MedSurg as needed
• Work with GE bedside telemetry monitoring equipment
• Document using Meditech EMR
• Navy scrubs required
• ACLS certification required; CCRN preferred
