CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work full-time night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Alternating schedule of 4 nights one week and 3 nights the next (Wed-Sat / Thur-Sat)
• No on-call required
• Training will be completed during day shift
• Must be CT registered (ARRT R/CT) - registration required, not just experience
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Must have graduated from an approved ARRT program
• Consistently provide quality patient care while performing radiographic and CT procedures as prescribed by a physician
• Determine proper technique through selection of voltage, current, and exposure time to minimize patient and staff exposure and produce quality diagnostic images
• Properly position patients to obtain optimum views of specified body areas as requested by physician
• Apply proper shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure and ensure a safe environment
• Determine proper CT protocol according to ordering physician and radiologist
• Maintain proper technique according to ALARA principles for both adult and pediatric patients
• Utilize MRI safety questionnaire to verify patient safety prior to entering the MRI room
• Transport patients to and from the department and assist patients from bed or gurney to exam table
• Ensure required consent forms are signed prior to examination and obtain pertinent patient history
• Complete proper reaction sheets and histories as necessary and advise physician of allergies as warranted
• Practice sterile techniques and cleanliness at all times to prevent cross-contamination
• Perform radiographic procedures in operating rooms, emergency rooms, recovery rooms, and patient rooms using portable equipment
