Med Surg RN Job in Janesville, WI

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville is seeking a registered nurse for our Med Surg Neuro/Trauma unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 3, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
• Weekly pay: $2,365.20
• May float to other units as needed

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws
• Document care in accordance with established standards
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and hospital policy
• Provide patient and family education and instruction
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Offer clinical expertise and guidance to support longitudinal patient care
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin nursing license required
• NIHSS and CPR/BLS certifications required
• Education verification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
