Special Procedures Technologist in Baltimore, MD

LBH - Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for a 98-week travel assignment. You will work 4x10 day shifts and earn $3,230 per week, with a start date of September 14, 2026.

Role Overview

You will perform approximately 10 interventional radiology cases per day in a 3-room department, serving adult and geriatric patient populations. You will perform interventional radiographic procedures at a safe and experienced level without requiring direct supervision.

Required Procedures

• Neuro and vascular interventional procedures
• Biopsies and peripheral procedures
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Stroke procedures
• Kyphoplasty and nephrostomy procedures

Additional Procedures Include

• Angioplasty and embolization
• TIPS, carotid angiography, and stenting
• IVC filter placement and PICC lines
• Thoracentesis, thrombolysis, and thrombectomy
• Upper and lower extremity angiography

Call Coverage

You will provide weekday backup call coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM Monday through Friday. Weekend call (primary or backup) runs from 7:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 AM Sunday. Holiday call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM is required as needed. There is no regular weekend requirement; however, weekend call participation is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
• Active Maryland RT license
• ACLS, BLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
• ARRT-VI and fluoroscopy permit preferred
• Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred
• Siemens, Philips, Toshiba, and GE equipment experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Additional Information

You may float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to an affiliate hospital nearby. IR Techs wear any color scrubs. You will receive up to 14 days of pre-approved time off; however, no RTO is approved on holidays or hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
