Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Provide medical surgical telemetry care including overflow of post-operative surgical hips and knees patients
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1 on a 24-bed unit
• Remote telemetry tech unit monitoring
• Administer heparin drips
• Float across all campuses as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekend schedule: every other or every third weekend depending on staffing and census
• Guaranteed 36-40 billable hours per week
• Dress code: navy blue solid scrubs
• EMR: EPIC experience required
• Minimum 24 months of current Med Surg or Med Surg Tele experience required
• Recent or current charge nurse experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No blocked shifts - must maintain open availability
• Department prefers candidates willing to extend beyond initial 13-week contract
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
