Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• Schedule is 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility for 4x10-hour shifts depending on OR schedule
• Weekends required approximately once every 3 weeks (Friday through Sunday)
• Call required approximately 10 shifts per month in pairs of 2, with a minimum callback of 1 hour
• Floating required throughout the facility including Circulate, PACU, and Pre/Post Op areas
• Missouri or compact license required upon submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience required with no exceptions; must have experience in OR, Circulate, PACU, and Pre/Post Op
• Community hospital experience required
• EMR system: Meditech
• Unit scrub color: Blue
• Required skills include: Endoscopic, General Surgery, Gynecology (C-Sections), Orthopedic, Podiatry, Urology, Pedi ENT (Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy), Pedi Endoscopic (EGD, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy), and Pedi General Surgery (Appendectomy)
• Emergency management skills required including code response, fire safety, latex allergy awareness, and malignant hyperthermia protocols
• Must be proficient with equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Steris
• Professional skills required include administration of blood/blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, specimen handling/labeling, starting peripheral IVs, universal protocol (time out) procedure, urinary bladder catheterization, and wound management
• Approximately 100 cases per month; low acuity with 1-2 C-sections per month
• Serves patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
